He was predeceased by: his parents, Majel Thorburn (Keller) and J. Russell Thorburn. He is survived by: his son Matthew; his daughter-in-law Lillian Koo; his grandson Preston; his sister Phyllis Thorburn of Washington, D. C.; and his sister-in-law Sue Wheeler. He is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
