With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sam Joseph Belsito (Lansing, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Belsito and Luigina Belsito; and his siblings, Phil Belsito (Doris), Mary Newton (Wayne), Kate Bozzo (Al), Helen Belsito, Janie Alrick (Jim) and Amalia Tenuta (Mike).
He is survived by: his wife Josephine; his daughters, Luigina Tweddle (Jeff), Toni Douglass (Bruce), Angie Butterwick (Chris) and Samantha Beard (Brian Armour); his grandchildren, Jason Tweddle (Kristen), Linley Tweddle, Natalie Douglass (Zach Schultz), Patrick Douglass, Sam Butterwick (Megan), Haley Hoeve (Steven), Jared Beard and Emily Beard; and his in-laws, Pat Stoney (Gordon), Phil Vilella (Darlene) and Tom Vilella (Gabrielle). He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sam's memory may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan (University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, Lansing), Juvenile Diabetes Research, MS Research at Michigan State University or the Eaton County Humane Society.
