It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Kay (Powell) Hooper-Woods (Lansing, Michigan), who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Powell and Nessie Powell; her siblings, Eddie, Joyce and Brenda; her former husband Rick Hooper; and her son Troy Hooper.
She is survived by: her sister Carolyn; her sons, Jerry Hooper (Traci) and Adem Hooper (Angel); her grandchildren, Rachel Catton (John), Corey Hooper (Brittney) and Keith Donley; and her great-grandkids, Grace, LeeAnn, Savanah and Hope. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gorsline-Runciman Tiffany Chapel (3232 W Saginaw St, Lansing, MI 48917). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Eaton Community Palliative Care at 2675 S. Cochran Rd, Charlotte, MI 48813.
