He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy J.; and his brother Vern Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his brother Tom Simons; his children, Don (Vicky) of Ashley, MI and KayCe Parsons (Brian) of Jackson, MI; his grandchildren, Chelsea Blain (Matthew), Don Simons II (Hannah), Bradley Simons and Lynsie Simons; and his great grandchildren, Don Simons III, Elsie Simons, Madyson Blain and Bryce Blain. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
