He is survived by: his wife Gloria Sims; his sons, Scott Sims (Sarah) and Chad Sims (Jenny); his brothers, David Sims (Judy), James Sims (Pat) and Philip Sims (Ann); his grandchildren, Trevor, Scottie (Kassondra), Allison, Shelby, Katie, Cora, Hayley and Garrett; and his great grandchild Easton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at 3420 S Creyts Rd, Lansing, MI 48917.
