She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Akin and Katie Akin (Derrick); her husband Bruce York; her son Bradford York; her grandson Stephen Johnson; and her siblings, Darlene Bade, Wayne Akin, Leslie Akin and Nile Akin.
She is survived by: her children, Brian York (Linda), Lary York (Carol), Marcia Smithwick (John), Cheri Vanvelzor (Charles), Terri Estee (Brian), Katharine Smith (James) and Dawn Akin (David). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family.
