Charles William Monroe Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles William Monroe of Lapeer, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 18, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Bill" Monroe and Icea Monroe (Schmoak). He is survived by: his daughters, Shari Schlaud (Andy) and MaryAnn DeWitte (Dan); his grandchildren, Andrew Schlaud II, Charles Schlaud (Jessica), Elizabeth Oswalt (Nick), MaryEllen St (Tyler), Merideth DeWitte and Audra DeWitte; and his great grandchildren, Sophie, Harper and Liam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, in Chuck's memory.
