We bid farewell to Ernest M. Papke Jr. of Lapeer, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 28, 2026 at the age of 75. Ernest touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Ernest may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ernest touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Papke and Beulah Papke; and his wife Nancy Papke. He is survived by: his children, Sue Papke (Jason Doss) of North Branch, Mike Papke (Cheri) of Marlette, Jenifer Dial (Jeremy) of Port Huron, Martha Papke of Lapeer and Ernest Papke (Autumn Glinke) of Portland, Michigan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
