He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle N. Melkerson and Phyllis J. Melkerson; and his great-uncle Walter Schwanbeck. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Lyle (Emma) and Scott; his siblings, Jill Melkerson-Watson (Greg) and Mark Melkerson (Mary); and his brother-in-law Ken West (Cathy). He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
His family requests no flowers, memorials may be made to the Foodbank of Southeastern Michigan, The Children's Hospital -of your choice or Paradise Animal Rescue in Lapeer.
