He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Joseph and Leatrice Joy Carpenter (Collins); his siblings, Donna Scramlin and Matthew Bradow; his parents-in-law, Jeanette O'Conner and Michael J. Conner; his brother-in-law Michael J. O'Conner, Jr.; and his close friend Joey Bollon.

He is survived by : his wife Molly Carpenter; his children, Jason Alan Carpenter of Dryden, Sean Aaron Carpenter of Lapeer and Holly Marie Carpenter-Toole (Joseph) of Lapeer; his grandchildren, Logan, Joselyn, Madeline, Camree, Kylee, HannahRose, Josiah and Nehemiah; and his siblings, Nancy Severn (Walt) of Fostoria, Terria DeView (Tim) of Attica, Sally Reynolds of Lapeer, Connie Davis (Tim) of Hale and Kaye Carpenter of Lapeer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
