With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel M. Smith of Lapeer, Michigan, born in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on July 21, 2023 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his niece Jennifer Hiltz. He is survived by: his wife Shelly Smith; his children, Shelby J Smith, Hunter J Smith and Walker J Smith; his parents, Ronald Smith and Kathleen Smith of Lapeer; and his sisters, Karen Shall (Dave) and Ronda Wolf (Steve). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
