Kenneth Eugene Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Eugene Nelson of Lapeer, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on July 14, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kenneth Eugene Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Nelson and Juanita Nelson (Bassett); his former wife JoAnne Nelson (West); his granddaughter Hope Nelson; his son-in-law Gary Slade; and his siblings, Ron Nelson, Connie Melchert and Maureen Poertner.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nelson (Blanchard); his children, Mark (Callie), Diane Ury (Bill), David (Susie), Mike (Lynda) and Amy Slade; his sister Margo Soule (Rod); and his brother-in-law Tom Poertner. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Methodist Church (1310 N Main St, Lapeer, MI 48446). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
