The memory of Robert P. Schabel of Lapeer, Michigan, who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Schabel and Sylvia Schabel (Cnudde); his wife Virginia T. Chickonoski; and his brothers, George Schabel, James Schabel and Mike Schabel.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen Schabel, Dennis Schabel (Maureen), Tim Schabel (Elizabeth) and Ron Schabel (Patty); his grandsons, Greggory, Jeffrey, Jack, Joe, Owen, Henry, Daniel and Ben; his siblings, Garnett Hickey, Mary Ann Rosinski (Walter), Beverly Siegel (Lee) and Glenn Schabel (Sharon); his close friend Mary Quintal; and also Emma. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (404 Dayton St, Davison, MI 48423).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration of Lapeer County, in Robert's memory.
