He was predeceased by: his wife Jennifer; his brother Gary; and his close friend Mel Major. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Bond (Scott), Monica Chown (Rick), Stephanie Allen (Curtis), Steven Chown (Vicki) and Matthew Chown (Leslie); his grandchildren, Haley, Josh, Jordan, Adrianna, Jake, Morgan, Jesse, Sidney and Jeremy; and his caregivers, Sarah and Jennifer.
The military honors was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at the same location.
