It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Luke Carnes of Lapeer, Michigan, who passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elihu "Dude" Carnes and Mary Carnes (Beamer). He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Kay Carnes; his grandson Jethro "J. J." Carnes; and his siblings, Daniel Carnes, Deborah Fougnie, Charles Carnes, Mary Carnes, Julie Carnes and Roberta Mowid (Joseph). He is also survived by many many nieces and nephews.
