He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hawley and Mary Hawley; his wife Joan Hawley; and his grandchildren, Lauren Shoens and Timothy Faust.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Kardos (Matt) of Mt. Morris, Jacqueline Sevener (Ken) of Davison, Sherry McIntyre (Ed) of Lapeer and William Hawley Jr. (Kelly) of Oak Ridge, TN; his sister Mabel Starkey; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Parker and Georgia Heinbuck (Harold). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
