He was predeceased by: his parents, Roe E. Johnson and Margie Johnson (Utter); his wives, Marie Helen (Woodward) and JoAnn Boerman (Marciniak); his children, Roe A. Johnson and Janice Keith (John); and his granddaughter Jessy Lossie. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family would like donations given to Gentiva Hospice, American Heart Association, or American Cancer Association.
