He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Whitney and Helen Whitney (Marshall); his wife Beatrice Johnson; and his sister-in-law Tao Whitney. He is survived by: his children, Levi Whitney (Kelly Fae), Kelly Whitney (Whitney Casterline), Sarah Lindsay and Alex Whitney (Siera); his siblings, Nonda Weber (Jim) and Craig Whitney; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Henson (Austin), Emily Moran (Hal), Sophia Whitney, Drew Whitney, Dustin Whitney, Travis Whitney, Roger Lindsay, Jacob Lindsay, Alex Whiteny Jr., Haley Whitney, Camdon Clark and Beau Kiplinger; and his great grandchild Hal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post 491 (422 Woodworth St, Leslie, MI 49251).
