He was predeceased by : his parents, Reuben Ghainer and Doris Ghainer (Ferguson); his wife Mary; his cousin Gordon; and his sister-in-law Susan Kurth.

He is survived by : his children, Laura Hoye (John) of Jackson, Stephen Ghainer of Lansing and Jeffrey Ghainer of Holt; his grandson Christopher; his sister Slyvia Ghainer of Lewiston; his brother-in-law William Kurth of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his cousins, Ronald Gainer (Sherry) of Virginia, Donna Gainer of East Lansing and William Ferguson (Dorothy Ann) of La Crosse, Wisconsin; his great-nephew Jonathon; and his great-niece Sophia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations have been suggested to our local American Legion Post 198 or to Twin Lakes Marina in Lewiston, Michigan 49756 to assist in funding the Fourth of July fireworks show. Both of these organizations were near and dear to Richard's heart so please consider donating in his memory.
