We bid farewell to Walter Bernard Fischhaber of Lewiston, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 6, 2025 at the age of 79. Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Walter shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Walter farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Fischhaber and Edna Fischhaber (Karstens); his wife Deanna Fischhaber; his daughter Katrina Fischhaber; and his siblings, Albert Fischhaber (Patsy), Helen Collins (James), Paul Fischhaber (Alice) and Marlene Carter.
He is survived by: his daughter Greta Fischhaber. He is also survived by other loving family members and good friends.
A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sunset Hills Cemetery (4413 Flushing Rd, Flint, MI 48504).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elk Country Animal Shelter, 11484 Youngs Road, Atlanta, MI 49709, in Walter's memory.
