She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Whitman and Marie Whitman (Albrecht); her grandchildren, Benjamin Wixon and Ashely Wixon; her great grandchild Reese A. Pennington; her siblings, Chuck (Judy Whitman), Clint (Ida Whitman) and Sharon; and her brother-in-law Ron Hollenbeck.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Wixon (Rocky) of Jeddo, Kristine Thibodeau (Todd) of Forester, Lori Hunt of Lexington, Richard Perpignon of Lexington, Julia Burgess (Rick) of Croswell and Patricia Perpignon (Gary Bennett) of Croswell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pomeroy Funeral Home - Lexington (5635 Main St, Lexington, MI 48450). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
She was very generous donating and gifting quilts and other items she had to made to individuals and organizations that used them as prizes in raffles.
