He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Whitman and Marie Whitman (Albrecht); his wife Ida J. Hall; his daughter-in-law Joy Whitman; his son Charles Troy Whitman; and his siblings, Sharon Hollenbeck and Charles R. Whitman.
He is survived by: his children, Clinton R. Whitman of Clyde and Debbie Whitman of Clyde; his grandchildren, Gavin Whitman, Jessie Dennis and Elliana Lakawkas; his great grandchildren, Aeva Gobeyn, Evana Gobeyn and Lincoln Gobeyn; and his sister Barbara Perpignon of Lexington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pomeroy Funeral Home - Lexington (5635 Main St, Lexington, MI 48450). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
