He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Richard and Mary Smith (Bomhoffer); and his daughter Laurie Mangianti. He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Smith of Lexington; and his children, Daniel Richard Smith of Chesterfield, Suzanne Delgado of Tennesse, Robert Anthony Smith of Algonac and Linda Bowey of Chicago. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
