He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Ledl Sr. and Gladys Ledl (Gassman); his wife Laura Ledl (Pilch); his daughters, Olivia Ledl, Sarah Swan (Corey), Molly Ledl (Robert) and Katie Gibson-Ledl (Aaron); his grandchildren, Sophia, Kane, Steven, Eloise and Kenzie; his siblings, Sandra, Frank, John, Jerry, Robert and Richard; and his children, Lila and Pete.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Czopek Funeral Directors (2157 Oak St, Wyandotte, MI 48192). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, providing mortgage-free homes to veterans and first-responders in need, a cause close to James' heart.
