He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; and his parents, Thomas Sampson and Bessie Sampson. He is survived by: his children, Thomas, Jr., Wayne, James, Robert, William, Victoria, Judy and Tina; and his siblings, Ronnie, Danny, Betty, Louis, Kenneth and Marilyn. He is also survived by grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
