Amanda Jane Whitney Obituary
We announce the death of Amanda Jane Whitney of Linden, Michigan, who passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 79. Amanda Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Earl and Aileen Scott Bigelow (Wakeman); her sisters, Kathryn Pierce Stubbs and Margaret Revord; and her brother-in-law Gary Whitney.
She is survived by: her husband James F. Whitney; her sons, Randall James Whitney (Kelli) of Kendallville and Jeffrey Scott Whitney (Lori) of Fenton; her grandchildren, Brittany Harger (Tony), Brendan Whitney (Aranda) and Hanna Whitney; her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Horsch (Richard) and Yoshie Whitney; and her friend Kathy Lyles. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Those wishing to honor Amanda's memory may make contributions to the Linden Mills Historical Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
