He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorain Derwin and Marguerite Derwin (Ostrander); his brother Tom Derwin; and his brothers-in-law, Tom LaBranche, Peter Hughes and Greg Groesser.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Groesser; his children, Steve Derwin (Heather) and Donna Sansoterra (Jeff); his grandchildren, Alex Derwin, Alyssa Leslie (Chris), Brennan Drane and Jeff Drane (Philicia); his siblings, Deanna Hughes, Martha LaBranche and Bill Derwin (Beth); and his sisters-in-law, Darla Derwin, Vicki Murany (Doug), Mardell Landis (Laird), Rhonda Nunn (Lee) and Yvonne Groesser. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
