He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Gaus and Mary Katherine Gaus; his siblings, Alex Jr., Donald, Reuben Gaus, Ruth Langolf and Dorothy Hiscock; his son-in-law Dr. Douglas Colberg; his granddaughter Devon Colberg; and his great grandchild Alfie Clancey.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gaus; his daughters, Jennifer Colberg of Linden, JoEllen Reed (Donald) of Denver, CO, Julie Martin (Donald) of Linden and Dr. Rachel; his grandchildren, Allison McCulley (Wyatt), Suzanna Colberg and Gretchen Clancey (Michael); his great grandchildren, Colin, Caden, Colette Clancey, Lucas, Shiloh Hester, Rowan Reed and Cohler McCully; and his sister Sharon Fouts (Jim).
