He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl LaMothe and Margaret LaMothe (Putvin); his former wife Lois Ann Schwartz; his son Michael "Beau" LaMothe; and his sisters, Lauretta Montini and Jacqueline Tate.
He is survived by: his wife Renata Skurka-LaMothe; his children, Lauretta LaMothe-Ryan (Mike) and Daniel LaMothe (Tracy); his grandchildren, Nathan, Gabrielle, Ella and Anna; and his stepdaughter Renata Johnson (James).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (600 N Adelaide St, Fenton, MI 48430).
