He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaylord Day and Ileen Day (McKee). He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Kubitskey; his sons, Rod Day (Shelly) of Linden, Derek Day (Jill) of Linden and Ryan Day of Linden; his grandchildren, Matt Day (Jessica), Sara Caskey (Tom), Zack Day (Kaitlyn), Corey Day (Andrea), Miranda Meek, Nolan Day, Landen Day, Breleigh Day and Brendan Day; his great grandchildren, Ryker, Jaxon, Avery, Makenna, Jace, Maddison and Brooks; and his siblings, Bob Day (Pat), Bev Kubitskey, Mary Husband (Jim) and Gaylord Day (Angie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
