We announce the death of William Edward Thompson of Linden, Michigan, who passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 88. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving E. Thompson and Dorothy G. Thompson (Lab); his former wife Cheryl D. Thompson (King); and his daughter Lynda Butts (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Joy Fletcher-Thompson; and his sons, James, Jeffrey, Joshua Thompson, Brian and Brad Curtis. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
