He is survived by: his wife Debby Ann (Brown); his children, Lee Ann Poynter of Litchfield, Elizabeth Poynter of Hillsdale and Barry Poynter Jr.; and his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ava, Layne and Nathaniel.
