It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Collins (Livonia, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Lois E Thompson of Livonia's Police Department; his siblings, Ray (Aggie) and Jane (Joe); and his son Michael (Stacy). He is survived by : his sister Joanne; his children, Gary (Linda), Linda (Bob), Janice and Stacy; and his grandchildren, Nick (Courtney), Galvin (Rebecca), Mike (Liz), Steph (Artur), Dustin (Amy), Meghan (Chris) and Michelle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The lying in state was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fred Wood Funeral Home (36100 Five Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48154). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (11441 Hubbard, Livonia, MI 48150).
