He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pauline Goodreau and Lloyd Augustus Shay; his siblings, Sally, Patricia, Jane and Thomas; his wife Katherine "Becca" Mollasis; his children, Augustus, Marianne "Cookie" and Paul Daniel (Joan E.); his siblings-in-law, Bessie, George, Belle Isle and Boblo; his sons, Gus (Jan) and Duke (Toni); his grandchildren, Erica (Jeff), Kleanthe Hope (Derrik), April (Kevin), Samuel (Valerie), Daniel Anthony (Nora), Daniel Quin II, Quin (Arielle), Vincent (Lia), Steven Ray (Rosemary) and Maisy; and his great grandchildren, Brittney Shay (Lucas), Cecilia, Gabrielle, Hope Katherine, Dominic, Riley, Sophia, Derek, Jack, Jane, Griffin, Mallory Katherine, Maxwell and Lila.
