He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dobson and Anna Dobson (Williams). He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Ed Dobson (Teri) and Beth Fournier (Joe); his grandchildren, Sarah Walrack (Dean), Ian Zimmer and Thomas Fournier; his great grandchild Eliza Zimmer; and his brother Bill Dobson.
