He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Francis and Daisy Francis; his wife Charlotte "Penny"; and his brothers, Duane Francis and Norman Francis.

He is survived by: his children, Nancy Pennington of Livonia and Carlton Francis (Patricia) of St. Cloud, Florida.; his grandchildren, David Pennington of Garden City, Laura Smith (Doug) of Garden City and Christina Wilson (Nathaniel) of Florida; and his great grandchildren, Amber Pennington, Drew Smith, Kara Smith, Brooke Smith, Colton Wilson and Landen Wilson. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
