It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard I. Butkowski of Livonia, Michigan, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Butkowski; his granddaughter Jennifer Butkowski; and his brother Tommy Butkowski. He is survived by: his children, Lori Ditzhazy and Richard Butkowski (Karen); his grandchildren, Ashly Wells (Steven) and Alexa McFerran (Timothy); his great grandchildren, Dylan, Owen, Sadie, Carson, Logan, Aden and Stella; and his brother Bill Butkowski (Gloria).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rg & Gr Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services (15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
