She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Meyer and Fred Meyer of Detroit, Michigan.; her husband Robert Ames; and her sisters, Marie Meyer, Helen Meyer and Bernice Walters (Albert).
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Albert Randy Walters (Debbie), Cindy Blaker (Don), Andrea Unger (Mike) and Amy Krohn (Mark); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicole Keck (Mike), Jonathan Papp (Samantha), Sarah Davis (Glenn), Deborah Jestadt (Jake), Liz Radcliffe (JR), Daniel Unger (Alli), Caitie Hurley (Caleb), Marcus Krohn (Adriana) and Kristina Krohn. She is also survived by 15 great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Westland, or your local church in Rita's name.
