He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Julia. He is survived by: his children, Stuart Solomon (Michele), Pamela Rosenberg and Jeri Rosenberg (Victor Strecher); his grandchildren, Candace Barbara (Angelo), Adam Solomon, Ryan Solomon (Lauren) and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Jake, Amber, Kayla, Corey, Justin, Maddi and Jonah; his great great grandchildren, Jayce and Mason; and his sister-in-law Sharon Baker (Lew Greenberg). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Location of Service: A Private Family Service will be held at The Dorfman Chapel Date of Service: Thursday February 11th, 2021 Time of Service: 12:00 PM Interment at: Machpelah Cemetery, 21701 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI, Officiant: Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny Shiva Information: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, no formal shiva will be held.

“Stuart & family, I am so sad to hear of Robert's passing. My mom, Dorothy, lived 2 doors down. Robert was a dear soul & true gentleman. He loved singing us "You are My Sunshine", listening to music & telling us about his family. He let us know his nickname was "The Silver Fox" because of that beautiful head of hair! He made everyone smile & he will be missed! Robert- sorry you didn't make it to your 100 years goal, but your life was full & you were loved! Well done Robert! Cheryl Mandeville”
