She was predeceased by: her father Albert Laity; her husband John Birch; her sons, John and Michael; her siblings, Karl, Hilda, Lill, Martha, May, Helen, Wesley and Hazel; and her grandson Christopher.
She is survived by: her son David (Nancy Ryan); her grandchildren, Angela Huerta, Adam Pomaville, Jarett Byrne (KC), Robin Birch, Robbie Byrne and Brian Byrne (Kayleen); and her caregiver Wendy Kryzanowicz. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
