He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Beth; his child Chelsey Yoder (Ryan); his grandchildren, Grant and Blake; his parents, Duane Carlson and Marilyn Carlson; his parents-in-law, Martha Kuykendall and James Kuykendall; his siblings, Diane Matanzas (Jose), Darlene Wilson (Larry), Joseph Carlson (Bobbie), Douglas Carlson (Tom) and Ann-Marie Carlson; and his sister-in-law Joan Tryon (Jeff). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church or the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
