She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Smith; her parents, Walter Schury and Eleanor Schury; and her sister Kathryn. She is survived by: her children, Timothy Smith, Jeffrey Smith (Jean) and Kristine Van (Stephen); her grandchildren, Nicholas Smith, Joshua Van (Klara), Madeline and Jessica Smith; her great grandchildren, Anna Van, Andrew and Michael Shelman; her nephew Philip; and her sister-in-law Lois Schaefer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (30650 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
