He is survived by: his wife Sandra Bernard; his children, Matthew Bernard (Wendy) and Kirstin Bernard Drennan; his stepchildren, Nate, Thomas and Sharon Neering; his grandchildren, Chloe, Kendra Bernard, Collin, Jillian Bernard, Haley Bernard, Matthew Bernard Jr., Jade, Lydia, Noah and Ellie Neering; his great grandchild Lilah Bernard; his niece Nancy Bernard; and his pet Henry.
