He is survived by: his children, Deborah Collins, Kathy Curtis (John "Bucky"), Thomas Kempker and Ronald Kempker; his grandchildren, Devon McQueen (Adam Benedict), Michael Curtis (Jessica), Andrew Curtis (Arika Williams), Christopher Curtis (Jana), Jackson Kempker and Kendall Murphy (Jake); his great grandchildren, Sonny Murphy, Isaiah, Gabby, Christian McQueen, Kyli, Taylor, Hudson, Ella, Macy, Kellen, Henley, Maddox and Pippa Curtis; his sister-in-law Mary Kempker; and his nephews, Dave Kempker Jr. (Karen) and Dan Kempker (Karen). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In recognition of his contributions to Lowell athletics, he was inducted into the Lowell Athletic Honor Wall in 2007.
