She was predeceased by: her parents, Clare Phillips and Mary Phillips (Bailey); her mother-in-law Emma Stowell (Blumberg); and her brother-in-law Larry Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Dan Nelson; her daughters, Kellie Hirdes (Doug Hirdes) and Melanie Hefron (Chris Shire); her grandchildren, Bailey Smith (Ryan Hubler), Trevor Smith, Malorie Hefron (Blake Nichols), Walker Read (Sophie Brefka) and Macie Keffer (Landen Keffer); her great grandchild Addison Hubler; her nephew Michael "Bueford" Napieralski (Kelly Napieralski); her siblings, Bruce Phillips (Teresa), Jerry Phillips (Sue) and Nancy Nead (Dennis); and her brother-in-law Gary Nelson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Lowell United Methodist Church (621 E Main St, Lowell, MI 49331). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Lowell.
