He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, Dan Haan and Beverly Haan; his parents-in-law, Martin and Ida Bolt; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Bolt, Dick Bolt, Don Bolt, Dar Bolt, Cheryl Bolt and Barb Doezema.
He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Held (David) and Heidi Smith (Tom); his grandchildren, Daniel, Grayson, Michael, Isabelle and John; his brothers, Doug Haan (Sally) and Ken Haan (Lori); his siblings-in-law, Jerry Bolt (Sandy), Tom Bolt, Jack Bolt (Lynne), Carl Bolt (Margie), Andy Doezema and Jacque Bolt; Peter, Ashley Vandenberg, Charlotte, Madelynn, Lillian and William. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
