He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald E. (Addie B. Bieri) and Lowell; his wife Jan Martis; his son Steve; his siblings, Kenneth, Richard, Roger and Lois Fuss; his siblings-in-law, Donna Bieri and Paul Fuss; and his nephew Michael Bieri.

He is survived by: his sons, Tim Martis (Doynette) and Mark Martis (Kathryn); his brother Paul Bieri (Kathy); his sister-in-law Phyllis Bieri; and his nieces and nephews, Joel Bieri (Marcia), Sue Bieri, Marcia Roth (Brian), Chris Bieri (Mary Jo), Janet Bieri (Al Lewis), Ginny Gauger (Jerry), Nancy DeNolf (Dave), Dale Bieri, Carl Fuss, Jerry Fuss (Jenny), Paul Bieri Jr. (Jessica), JoAnn Haider (Joe) and Jill Barents (Brian).
