He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Simon and Margaret Simon (Stanton); his wife Carol; his children, Daniel Simon, Jr. (Mandi) of Ionia, Tina Washington (Steve) of Grand Rapids, Kathy Ostrander (Kevin) of Ionia and Scott Risk of Lyons; and his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Gomez (George), Gary, Larry and Gerald Simon.
