Apel of Macomb Township, Michigan, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Gerald E. Apel; her parents, Stanley Kessler and Mary Kessler; her siblings, Gerald Kessler, David Kessler and Deborah Kessler; and her sister-in-law Lynn Kessler.

She is survived by : her children, Marq Apel (Rhonda), Karl Apel and Karyn L. Ulishney (Mark); her grandchildren, Devon Apel, Brandon Apel, Victoria Caravaggio (Clayton), Ryan Apel, Noah Ulishney and Jordan Ulishney; her brothers, Donald Kessler, James Kessler and Charles Kessler (Chuck); her siblings-in-law, Sherri Kessler, Elaine Henderson and David Henderson; and her close friend Gloria Love. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
