With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lois June Bonkowski of Macomb Township, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lois left this world on December 15, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore VanEe and Audrey VanEe (Leckner); her husband Gerald Bonkowski; and her grandson Brandon. She is survived by: her sons, David Bonkowski (Tracy) and Jeff Bonkowski; her grandchildren, Kayla, Dallas, Dolan and William; and her sister Jacqueline Eichbauer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home (47477 Romeo Plank Rd, Macomb, MI 48044). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Lupus Foundation or Humane Society of Macomb County.
